Introduction to the Structural Features of CNC Gantry Machining Centers
1. CNC Gantry Machining Center Workbench:
The worktable of the gantry machining center is essentially rectangular. Major castings, including the worktable, bed, column, crossbeam, and ram, are made from Meehanite cast iron. The internal cavities of these castings feature a honeycomb‑type composite arrangement, reflecting an advanced design. All components undergo stress‑relief treatment and secondary tempering to eliminate residual internal stresses, ensuring material stability and guaranteeing consistent machining accuracy as well as extended machine tool life.
2. CNC Gantry Machining Center Dragon Gate:
The gantry consists of a crossbeam and two upright columns. It is available in three configurations: crossbeam fixed, crossbeam segmentally raised and lowered with positioning blocks, and crossbeam freely raised and lowered.
3. CNC gantry machining center ram:
Slide blocks can be classified into two structural types: open‑type and closed‑type. In the open‑type design, the slide block is clamped to the spindle housing by pressure plates, resulting in a larger cross‑sectional area; in the closed‑type design, the slide block is secured within the spindle housing, yielding a smaller cross‑sectional area.
4. Tool magazine of the CNC gantry machining center:
The basic configurations of tool magazines include turret-type, drum-type, and chain-type.
5. CNC gantry machining center accessory tool magazine:
Machining large, complex parts typically requires numerous specialized tooling attachments. These attachments are custom-designed to meet the specific machining requirements of the workpiece and are generally categorized into right-angle heads, extension heads, special‑angle heads, and universal heads, among others.
6. CNC Gantry Machining Center Accuracy:
The accuracy of a machine tool refers to its initial precision under conditions where no external loads are applied. Accuracy is typically expressed in terms of its inverse—namely, the deviation from the ideal state (commonly referred to as error). The smaller the error, the higher the accuracy.
