   Gantry surface grinder It is capable of performing mirror finishing and grinding, making it particularly well suited for precision machining in industries such as mold making, cutting tools, connector contacts, and semiconductors. Moreover, CNC‑controlled machines can simultaneously achieve high machining accuracy while processing curved surfaces—including cylindrical, external‑cylindrical, and arcuate forms—thereby enabling multifunctional capabilities comparable to those of gantry surface grinders.

  A gantry-type surface grinder is also known as a surface grinding machine. Although it is relatively easy to operate, it can handle a wide variety of workpieces and typically requires numerous fixtures to complete the machining operations. It delivers very high precision; when equipped with digital readout, accuracy can be maintained within ±0.001 mm. The machine is capable of machining flat surfaces, right angles, inclined planes, slots, circular arcs, step differences, and more. These features can also be combined in a single setup—for example, inclined slots, stepped inclined surfaces, or inclined circular arcs—provided the workpiece is through‑going and fully accessible. It offers high machining efficiency, excellent precision, and relatively low production costs.

  The gantry-type surface grinder features a unique structure, with temperature rise not exceeding 15°C, eliminating the need for an additional cooling system. The system enables impact-free direction reversal, ensuring smooth switching. The main oil pump motor requires only 11 kW of power.   Hydraulic station for hydrostatic/hydrodynamic grinding head

  The grinding head employs a hydrostatic–hydrodynamic journal bearing design, offering high motion accuracy, zero wear, long service life, low starting power, and, for hydrodynamic bearings, substantial load-carrying capacity at high speeds along with excellent vibration resistance. The hydraulic power unit utilizes a constant-pressure system to supply oil to the hydrostatic–hydrodynamic grinding head, delivering stable pressure, low noise, and reduced temperature rise.

  2. The crossbeam is equipped with a carriage and a grinding head. The carriage moves laterally along the crossbeam’s guide rails, while the grinding head performs vertical lifting motion along the carriage. The steel‑lined guide rails on the crossbeam cooperate with the dovetail‑type rolling guide blocks on the carriage, ensuring wear resistance and smooth, effortless movement.
